Technical Drawings Drafter Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Drawings Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating precise technical drawings for interior design projects. As a Technical Drawings Drafter, you will be responsible for developing accurate and detailed drawings that serve as the foundation for our design and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and design concepts.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and company guidelines.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from the design team and clients.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring all drawings are up-to-date and accessible.
• Assist in the development of design specifications and material schedules.
• Stay updated with the latest drafting techniques, tools, and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Drawings Drafter, preferably in the interior design or architecture industry.
• Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
• Ability to interpret design briefs and translate them into detailed drawings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and materials is a plus.
