Project Scope:

Creativ Medium is seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Designer for a project-based opportunity involving the creation of over 100 maps for a publication. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in color theory, typography, and cartography, with a proven ability to transform complex data into visually compelling, clear, and accurate representations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design more than 100 detailed, publication-ready maps.
• Apply advanced knowledge of color theory, typography, and cartography to enhance clarity and visual impact.
• Work closely with the editorial team to integrate data visualizations, including maps, charts, and statistical graphics, into the final publication.
• Ensure design consistency, readability, and aesthetics throughout the entire series of maps.
• Collaborate with other designers and stakeholders to meet project deadlines.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in designing maps, charts, and statistical graphics for publications or editorial projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing similar projects (especially involving maps and data visualization).
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as QGIS, Tableau, D3.js, Adobe Illustrator, Flourish, Datawrapper, Mapbox, Carto, or other relevant software.
• Advanced understanding of cartographic principles, color theory, and typography.
• Familiarity with the design process for publishing and editorial design.
• Ability to handle large volumes of data and complex projects efficiently.
• Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
