Job Description
Mach Industries is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design Criteria Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking requirements, managing design reviews, and ensuring that all components are designed according to specified criteria. This role involves responsibilities typically associated with product management, ensuring that designs meet single-use, multi-use, engine lift, and airframe life specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage design requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Organize and facilitate design reviews, including Design Criteria Review (DCR), Conceptual Design Review (CoDR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR).
- Ensure that all team members design components in accordance with specified criteria, including single-use, multi-use, tracking engine life, and airframe life.
- Act as a substitute for product management when needed, overseeing product development and ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs and meet project deadlines.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to design criteria and review processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering within the aerospace or defense industry.
- Strong understanding of design review processes and requirements management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with single-use and multi-use design criteria in aerospace applications.
- Familiarity with engine lift and airframe life specifications.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
