We are looking to add a rockstar Designer Manager to our team! We are looking for a visionary leader with an unwavering commitment to user-centered design. This passion translates into flawless execution, leveraging a deep understanding of design patterns to create best in class experiences across a variety of user journeys that are part of the Mindtickle platform. You are responsible for collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders, to set and align on design objectives. In this role, you are expected to supervise/mentor other product designers and be hands-on as and when needed.

  • Work with key stakeholders like Product & Engineering leadership, Product Managers, UX Researchers, and customers to understand the user and business needs in order to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Partner with design and product teams to establish design strategy and user experience guidelines for your product area.
  • Help the team deliver best experiences by continuously evaluating design skills and competencies and share feedback on gaps and ways to improve.
  • Set growth plans, career goals and help designers be successful.
  • Bring strong user-centered design skills and develop business knowledge, to own the user experience of your product area (and beyond).
  • Deliver high quality outcomes by defining UX strategy, reviewing designs, and team efficiency.
  • Establish UX success metrics, monitor user engagement data, validate mock-ups with users, talk to customers and conduct usability studies to understand what is happening and continuously improve the user experience of the product.
  • Promote UCD practices and the importance of design, and create awareness about the contribution of the design team in the success of MindTickle products.
  • Work closely with the other design team members and sub-departments like UX Research, UX Content Design, and Design Systems.
  • When designing hands-on, maintain a very high standard of user experience to set the right example.

We’d love to hear from you, if you:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in designing web/mobile applications (preferably B2B SaaS).
  • Possess 5+ years of experience in managing UX/product designers.
  • Have pursued Preferably a master’s or bachelor’s degree in design.
  • Have a Design portfolio to showcase previous work (Applications without a portfolio are not considered).
  • Have Very strong user and customer empathy, are an expert and an advocate of UCD, UX, UXR and usability methodologies.
  • Own ability to solve complex problems while keeping the solution as simple and elegant as possible.
  • Have a good understanding of how to use UX Research and data for design decisions.
  • Are proficient with creating information architecture, user flows, user stories/scenarios, wireframes, and UI concepts.
  • Have an exceptional feeling towards good visual design, typography, and user experience design.
  • Have experience with agile development processes and an entrepreneurial attitude towards getting things done. You move fast.
  • Have project management skills to prioritize design needs with other team members and ensure successful project completion.
  • You feel comfortable leading a team of designers, embedding processes and methodologies, and delivering solutions for business and customer needs.
  • You also work with your team to leverage and extend the use of design systems, style guides, patterns, and assets to create UX deliverables.
  • Have a good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Are proficient with Figma as this is our main design tool.
