About the role:

<div>Supporting the Design team with the creation of seasonal collections, from researching trends and selecting fabrics to designing contemporary pieces through to development, in line with The Fold’s identity.

</div>

Your responsibilities:

<div>Conceptualise and Design Collections</div>

<div>

<ul>

<li>Designing contemporary pieces, showing strong understanding of outfitting and range building.</li>

<li>Working 3-D on the stand.</li>

<li>Creating technical drawings for your designs. Selecting trims and linings.</li>

<li>Working with Technical and Production team to launch all sketches with appropriate manufacturers.</li>

<li>Preparing collection for and amending line ups after sign off meetings.</li>

</ul>

Trend Research

<ul>

<li>Seasonal design research. </li>

<li>Creating mood boards and colour palettes with Design Team – staying true to Fold’s DNA.</li>

</ul>

Fabric and Material Selection

<ul>

<li>Working with the team to select fabrics, prints, colours and trims for the season. </li>

<li>International trips attending fabric fairs, exhibitions and visiting suppliers.

</li>

</ul>

Collaborate across departments

<ul>

<li>To pass on all relevant and appropriate information to all areas linked to product i.e. production, sales, merchandising and marketing.</li>

<li>Attending Lessons Learnt meetings and having strong knowledge of bestselling styles.</li>

<li>Visiting Fold stores on a regular basis to have a strong understanding of our customers and products.

Fit Sessions and Adjustments

<ul>

<li>Working closely with pattern cutters to create new drapes and silhouettes.</li>

<li>Weekly fittings with the technical team.

</li>

</ul>

Your skillset:

<ul>

<li>Strong Design portfolio and Photoshop skills are essential. </li>

<li>Impeccable eye for print and colour.</li>

<li>Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.</li>

<li>Minimum 5 years in the Fashion Design Industry.</li>

<li>Strong drawing and draping skills.</li>

<li>Excellent communication skills.

</li>
