Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited, to the following: Developing, and modifying complex graphics designed for information and educational purposes on the websites and digital media. Collaborate with other departments to design and prepare graphic materials to promote programs and initiatives via print, website and other digital media. Support, coordinate, and promote effective communication to present the strengths of the organization and its employees in an accurate and timely manner in print and digital materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create graphics for promotional material being displayed on social media and other platforms
  • Create digital media to illustrate and promote our brands in print and online
  • Design, coordinate, and prepare illustrations and graphics for special digital and print projects such as current and new products, mobile applications, online catalog, exhibits, special events and more
  • Produce from concept to edit using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Assist in the coordination, set up, and presentation during press-related events

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: graphic design, visual arts, and/or content writing. A working knowledge of the ammunitions operations is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will also possess extensive knowledge and/or experience in the following core competencies:

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Understands the fundamentals of graphic and video production
  • Demonstrates the ability to create graphics and digital content using various programs and software such as Adobe Premiere, Apple iMovie, Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Demonstrates the ability to research current trends and new ways of designing and implementing content
  • Demonstrates the ability to translate statistics into digital media

PLANNING & ORGANIZATION

  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain and organize digital asset management systems such as Dropbox and OneDrive/Teams
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize numerous complex projects and delivers excellent products in a timely manner, which could include short deadlines and notice
  • Demonstrates the ability to conduct research, gather information, and draft content of events and activities

TEAMWORK

  • Demonstrates the ability to act as an advisor or consultant to management and other employees on various artistic matters related to our projects
  • Collaborates with others to achieve common goals
  • Understands the organization's vision and does whatever is needed to make the team a success

ORAL & WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Demonstrates the ability to create compelling content
  • Demonstrates the ability to present new information clearly and in an organized manner
  • Ability to be fluent in Spanish (desirable but not required)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Design, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications
  • 3-5 years of digital and/or content development experience
  • Photography/videography background a plus
  • Must have proven experience in design project management for other brands and achieving deadlines
  • Strong understanding of current design and branding marketing concepts, strategy and best practice
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva and other relevant management platforms
