Green Growth Africa is a sustainability network headquartered in Ibadan, Nigeria. We are dedicated to creating and implementing green solutions to Africa’s developmental challenges. As part of our commitment to sustainable development, we are commissioning a state-of-the-art studio facility in Abuja. We seek a talented and creative Multimedia Specialist who will also serve as the Broadcasting studio Master Control Room (MCR) Operator to join our team and play a key role in shaping the visual and multimedia content that communicates our mission.

Job Summary

The Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for creating, managing, and delivering engaging multimedia content across various platforms while also ensuring the smooth operation of the Master Control Room. This on-site role involves working closely with our communications and studio teams to provide high-quality visual and broadcast output that aligns with Green Growth Africa’s vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, produce, and edit video, audio, and graphic content for use across digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to create multimedia content that supports organizational campaigns and initiatives.
  • Operate and manage the Master Control Room (MCR), seamlessly executing all broadcasting activities.
  • Monitor live feeds, broadcasts, and recorded content, ensuring they meet the required technical and quality standards.
  • Ensure the uploading of video content and optimization of YouTube channel to maximize growth and reach.
  • Manage and maintain multimedia equipment and software, ensuring all tools and MCR systems are in excellent working condition.
  • Assist in live-streaming events, webinars, and other online or in-person programs.
  • Develop and implement multimedia strategies to enhance the organization’s digital presence.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into the creation and management of multimedia content.
  • Support studio operations by providing technical expertise in multimedia production and MCR management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in multimedia content creation, including video production, graphic design, and audio editing.
  • Proven experience operating and managing a Master Control Room (MCR) in a broadcasting or media environment.
  • Proficiency in multimedia software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools as well as live-streaming software such as vMix, OBS Studio, etc.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in environmental or sustainability-focused content is a plus.
