Principal Product Designer Position

We are seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead the design of our next-generation travel app, creating intuitive, engaging, and highly functional digital experiences. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of travel tech for a beloved brand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Design Strategy: Define and drive the design vision for Lonely Planet travel app.
  • User-Centered Design: Conduct user research and usability testing to understand traveler needs.
  • Push the Boundaries of UX: Drive cutting-edge UX design by rethinking what a best-in-class travel experience can be.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the app’s design meets objectives.
  • App Design Leadership: Create designs for seamless user experience across all platforms.
  • Maintain Brand Integrity: Ensure consistency with brand voice while adapting to modern user expectations.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay informed about latest design trends and emerging technologies.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Guide other designers on the team and foster a culture of collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design experience with a focus on mobile app design.
  • Experience in travel, hospitality, or lifestyle industries desirable.
  • Proficiency in Figma, user research, interaction and visual design, prototyping.
  • Experience leading large-scale design projects within agile product teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful mobile app designs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership skills, and passion for travel.

Compensation

  • Cash Compensation Range: $130,000 -$170,000.
