Job Summary

The Program Manager, Recruitment & Retention Graphic Designer will create graphic design materials that support major districtwide efforts aimed at attracting, retaining, and developing human talent, elevating the brand and message of Houston ISD as a whole. This includes developing designs for campaigns targeting both prospective and current employees. Working cross-functionally, the Program Manager will produce graphics for presentations, websites, print publications, and others, ensuring cohesive branding across recruitment initiatives and internal personnel assets related to talent acquisition, retention, and development. The role offers creative freedom within design parameters set by campaign objectives and district objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Certifications in graphic design tools and software (such as Adobe Creative Suite— Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) or digital marketing can be a plus. Applicants who do not meet these education qualifications may be considered if they have a unique combination of education and work experiences that indicate potential for success in this role.

Work Experience

5 to 7 years as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in both digital and print media. Graphic design and recruitment experience for K-12 school districts is preferred. Applicants who do not meet these work experience qualifications may be considered if they have a unique combination of education and work experiences that indicate potential for success in this role.
