About the Team

The Design Systems team is responsible for the themes, components, icons, and Figma tools that are used by designers and engineers across DoorDash. You will work closely with other system designers, product designers, design engineers, and design leadership.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Design Systems Designer to extend our DoorDash design system to support all the needs of our apps as we grow into new categories like grocery, convenience, retail, and beyond.

This includes helping product designers evolve vertical-specific component libraries, creating high-level pattern guidance, and partnering on strategic projects like net new features and upleveling our visual design. This role would work closely with both product designers and design system designers, translating between product specific needs and the shared core system.

You will report into the Head of Design Systems on our Design Infrastructure team in our Product Design organization. This role is expected to work in a hybrid model, 2-3 days per week onsite, and 2-3 days working from home.

  • Guide product designers to use the design system to the fullest extent, leveraging existing patterns and extending them when necessary.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location.

Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Washington.

  • I5 $129,200 — $190,000 USD
  • I6 $155,000 — $228,000 USD
