Senior Designer
Wayfair UK Designer position
Over the past three years, we’ve built a strong foundation for Wayfair’s communications and design strategy. Now, we’re looking for a designer with a passion for home to take it to the next level in the UK. This role spans both Brand and Promotional communications, driving love and demand through conceptual brand campaigns while elevating sales promotions like Black Friday, Boxing Day, and Way Day.
We’re seeking someone who combines creativity and strategy—crafting compelling campaigns while ensuring ideas scale seamlessly across hundreds of assets for the UK and Ireland. You’ll work closely with the Head of Copy and Brand & Content Strategy in our efficient, well-structured creative team. Your work will be seen by millions and must balance creativity with data-driven performance insights.
Based in our new London creative office (Monday-Thursday in-office, Friday remote), the role reports to the Creative Lead of Wayfair EU, with a small team of designers and freelancers under your leadership. Your portfolio should reflect exceptional design skills, a love for experimentation, and the ability to uphold and evolve brand standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead creative campaigns for Ireland and the UK, producing multi-channel assets
- Manage multiple projects efficiently and communicate directly with stakeholders
- Develop final artwork, ensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines
- Optimize creative assets using data and past performance insights
- Foster a culture of constructive feedback and collaboration
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of design experience in an agency, studio, or corporate environment - experience both in-house and agency is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and collaborate cross-functionally
- Leadership experience with clear goal-setting
- Strong command of design, color, typography, and Adobe Creative Suite (Sketch proficiency a plus)
- Knowledge of design trends, customer journeys, and performance marketing
- Animation skills and UI/UX design experience are a bonus
In the long term, this role aims to make Wayfair synonymous with breakthrough digital content and engaging, relevant storytelling.
Interview Process: Introductory video interview, followed by a panel interview and simple case study. We look forward to your application!
