Senior Editorial Designer AD Germany

AD Architectural Digest Germany is seeking an experienced designer to join its team full-time. Reporting to the Head of Editorial Content and working closely with editorial, visual, and social teams in a close, fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate has a passion for interior design and architecture, and a proven track record for designing and creating beautiful assets and layouts for print, digital, social platforms, video, and other editorial and brand needs. The position is based in Munich and reports directly to the Head of Editorial Content AD Germany

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Head of Editorial Content to maintain a cohesive brand aesthetic and identity across print, digital, social, and brand extensions through images, type, and all other design components.
  • Create visual elements for current and future print editions (including layouts) from concept to press, working with production and post-production experts.
  • Develop and/or execute design elements for digital stories by sourcing and optimizing photos, resizing images, and creating artwork as needed.
  • Produce designed assets for related special projects, to ensure consistency across the brand with digital or event executions.
  • Commission and also create illustrations/photo collages, providing design inspiration and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience designing for a brand or media company with significant visual output
  • Excellent design skills, both creative and technical, across multiple platforms
  • Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills; deadline-conscious, goal-oriented
  • Extremely well organized, able to manage many projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills
