Revenue Design Mission
Our mission on Revenue Design is to make Discord the best place to hang out online with friends. Specifically, our Ads teams focus on helping customers and business partners extend their experience to get the most out of Discord through use of Discord Quests, our first ads product at Discord. Whether you're part of a gaming community, school club, worldwide art group, or just a handful of friends that want to spend time together, millions of people use Discord every day to find belonging, create connections, and talk. Join Us as a Product Designer
As a product designer, you will report to our growing Product Design team within the Engineering, Product, Analytics and Design (EPAD) organization. You'll be involved with the full end-to-end product development process, from brainstorming to launch of both improvements to, or new innovations of, our ads products. You'll use a balance of strategic thinking, product principles, systems design, and strong visual design skills to iterate and innovate on the Discord product. Your Responsibilities
- Embed within a product squad and partner with engineers, product managers, researchers, and data scientists
- Oversee the user experience of a product from concept to launch and improve it after release
- Present designs to the team and organization to drive alignment and consensus
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and implement designs to perfection
- Test, learn, and iterate on designs alongside partners
- Help maintain and commit to the Design pattern library
- Be an active member of the Discord Design team and foster a culture of design
Requirements
- 5+ years experience designing and shipping web/app products
- Strong product thinking and vision
- Expert level experience with Figma
- Experience in combining business acumen, systems thinking, and design craft
- Ability to mentor other designers and build design systems
- Rich prototyping experience and interface animation know-how
Bonus Points
- Experience with CSS, JavaScript, or React
- Casual or committed gamer
- Interface animation know-how
Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000 to $185,000 + equity + benefits. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity or benefits.
