Our hybrid data platform delivers unprecedented value to our customers and is key to our overall strategy and success. We need an experienced and talented designer to drive enterprise ready improvements and cross-cutting product design initiatives related to the Cloudera Cloud and Hybrid platform & services.
What you will be doing
You will be contributing to the full user-centered design process, from user interviews, competitor analysis, mockups, prototyping, validation and inspecting the quality of implementation. Partnering closely with other designers, our product management, and engineering teams to deliver the most usable solutions possible. Additionally, you will work closely with the entire design team to improve our process, our design system, and our design culture. The culture of the Cloudera Design team is human first, we actively seek to grow each person's career through outside education and candid compassionate feedback from other experienced designers.
What we are looking for in you
As a Senior Product Designer you will have the following responsibilities:
- Design user flows, diagrams, wireframes, and designs
- Create high-fidelity visual designs and/or prototypes
- Deliver design specifications and supporting assets
- Participate in design reviews
- Participate in collaborative workshops
- Iterate on existing application features
- Assist in planning and estimating of design activities
- Participate in product research and usability studies
- Conduct competitive analysis
- Contribute to and maintain design pattern libraries
Qualifications
We are excited about you if you have the following qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience in UX design, UI design, product design, and/or web application design.
- Portfolio exhibiting the ability to conceptualize and demonstrate visual communication skills.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design processes.
- Mastery of design principles with a firm understanding of grid systems, typography, and color.
- A strong attention to detail and consistency in design.
Additional Qualifications
You might also have:
- Experience in coordinating and conducting usability studies.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end javascript frameworks.
- Proficient in conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
