About the role

We're seeking an exceptional, innovative, and AI-native Senior Product Designer to lead strategic design efforts across our portfolio. In this demanding, multi-faceted role, you'll drive end-to-end product design for Product.ai and lead the design of AI assistant features for SimplyCodes. You'll be at the forefront of creating novel, AI-driven conversational and visual interfaces that redefine how people shop online.  

At Demand.io, Product Design plays a pivotal role in shaping our products and strategy. You will lead product vision and strategy, working autonomously to create end-to-end product experiences. Your work will directly impact millions of users and shape the future of AI-assisted shopping.   

In this role, you'll report directly to the CEO (who acts as Chief Product Officer), playing a key role in a range of strategic design initiatives spanning our product portfolio. You'll be challenged to solve complex UX problems, design for emerging AI technologies, and create intuitive interfaces for intricate systems involving gamification, in-app economies, and community-driven features.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end product design for Product.ai, our ambitious AI shopping assistant platform
• Spearhead the design of AI-powered features for SimplyCodes, enhancing our coupon and deals discovery experience
• Create novel, AI-driven, conversational human-computer paradigms to solve everyday problems in e-commerce
• Design complex systems involving gamification, in-app economies, and community-driven features
• Collaborate closely with our AI and machine learning teams to develop innovative ways to present AI-generated insights to users
• Drive data-informed design decisions, working with our analytics team to set up experiments and interpret results
• Develop and maintain scalable design systems that can flex to accommodate rapidly evolving AI capabilities
• Mentor junior designers and evangelize design thinking across the organization
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmapping, using your design insights to shape our product direction

About you

You're a visionary, end-to-end Product Designer with a proven track record of shipping innovative 0-1 products  

You have 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on complex, data-driven consumer products  

You possess strong skills in both UX and visual design, with the ability to craft beautiful, intuitive interfaces  

You have experience designing AI-powered products or features, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities they present  

You're well-versed in designing for multiple platforms (web, mobile, browser extensions) and understand the nuances of each  

You have a strong technical background, ideally with a degree in HCI, Computer Science, or a related field  

You're data-driven, with experience setting up and interpreting A/B tests and using analytics to inform design decisions  

You're an excellent communicator, able to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders  

You're comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment  

You have a growth mindset and are constantly looking to learn and improve your craft

Ideal candidates will also have

• Experience with designing conversational UI and chatbot interfaces
• Familiarity with designing for augmented reality (AR) or other emerging technologies
• A background in game design or experience with implementing gamification in non-game products
• Experience with community-driven products and designing for user-generated content
• Knowledge of behavioral economics and how to apply it to product design

About the job

• Base salary range: $150,000 - $250,000 DOE
• Equity: 0.25% - 0.5% initial grant
