Senior Product Designer Position in Lisbon

PagerDuty is seeking a Sr. Product Designer in Lisbon to join our diverse, customer-focused team! As a Senior Product Designer, you will apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to support work on PagerDuty’s core product, Incident Management. The ideal candidate will bring well-rounded design skills, with a proven background of user research and a track record of delivering shovel-ready designs.

Role Description

In this role, you will be designing solutions for the heart of PagerDuty, our Services experience. Services is the glue that holds PagerDuty together and requires thinking about integrated experiences across the product and with other platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Managers and Software Engineers to perform user research, prioritize, define, and deliver best-in-class user experiences.
  • Develop and execute a design strategy that integrates with multiple product areas.
  • Create design artifacts that inspire others and are recognized by the team as raising the bar for the product.
  • Proactively generate new cross-product ideas and iterate toward implementation with your delivery team.
  • Fluent in agile, able to build and groom backlogs, write tickets, prioritize work to map to strategic initiatives.
  • Design beautiful, useful, and desirable user interfaces and experiences in a team environment.
  • Conduct user research & usability tests and synthesize insights and feedback to validate design decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the UX design of digital products released to the market.
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates taking multiple projects from start to finish (from research and discovery to implementation with engineers and product teams).
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy but also act–with speed and precision–to deliver the tactical pieces to realize it.
  • Demonstrated use and contribution to a common design system.
  • Past experience establishing a design thinking culture at a fast-growing company.
  • Proficiency in Figma as well as familiarity with user research tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor other members of the UX team.
  • Prior experience working on B2B SaaS products, ideally with developer tools and/or supporting complex spaces.

Workplace and Culture

PagerDuty is a flexible, hybrid workplace. We embrace and encourage in-person working as an integral part of our culture. This role is expected to come into our Lisbon office 1 day/month.
