About the Role

Chimoney is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Social Media Content Creator to lead our growth across platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This is a part-time role (10-15 hours per week) based in Toronto, perfect for a student or social media aficionado with experience in creating viral content and building an audience. Your primary mission will be to make the Chimoney App popular, ensuring it becomes an essential app for all Canadians.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling and engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts that highlights the Chimoney App’s features and benefits.
  • Develop and execute content strategies that align with current social media trends and patterns (e.g., street interviews in Toronto, storytelling, challenges).
  • Identify opportunities to collaborate with local influencers and establish co-creation partnerships to broaden Chimoney’s reach.
  • Cross-post and repurpose content effectively across different platforms to maximize engagement and visibility.
  • Monitor social media trends, hashtag performance, and emerging content formats to keep Chimoney’s content fresh and relevant.
  • Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and audience engagement.
  • Track content performance metrics and adapt strategies for improved reach and engagement.
  • Engage with the community by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions to foster strong connections with the audience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in creating short-form video content that garners high engagement, preferably with a personal or client portfolio showcasing viral content.
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and analytics tools.
  • Exceptional creativity and the ability to brainstorm and execute original content ideas.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools and apps to create polished, high-quality content.
  • A keen interest in fintech, payments, or app-based services is a plus.
  • Based in Toronto, with the ability to create local content that resonates with the Canadian audience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver on deadlines.
