About The Team

At DoorDash, our customers are at the center of our product strategy, and we believe that an amazing customer experience is the key to our success. The Consumer team designs the mobile apps and website that millions of customers use every day to order meals and more from their favorite local merchants.

New Modes Group

Within the Consumer team, the New Modes group envisions different ways to enjoy the convenience of DoorDash beyond delivery, such as DoubleDash, dining out, gifting, gift cards, and payments. If you are passionate about building new use cases and driving 0>1 opportunities, this role is for you!

About the Role

We're looking for a Content Designer to become a key member of one of our most innovative and 0-1 organizations on the consumer app, called New Modes. This is where some of our favorite new DoorDash magic happens, from offering new deals and ways to pay, to creating celebratory gift card strategies, to making the ol’ business lunch better. Got an idea for a new feature that might make ordering on the DoorDash app even better? New Modes is there for it.

Responsibilities

  • Influence content design and user experiences across consumer app products, contributing to overall strategy, planning, product vision, and frameworks
  • Own content design processes end-to-end, aligning your work with business goals, user needs, and our design system
  • Contribute directly to DoorDash's consumer product strategy and define the future of our service
  • Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity, and then chart a path forward
  • Work closely with product design, product management, user research, analytics, engineering, and marketing
  • Improve the consumer experience in areas like payments, gifting, lunch ordering, and other new ways to make DoorDash the go-to for everyday deliveries
  • Create and grow content standards
  • Work with a close-knit content design team that supports each other across products
