Join our team as a Design Systems Designer
Join our team as a Design Systems Designer and play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining Apollo, our design system. You'll ensure consistent, user-friendly, and scalable experiences across our three Xplor products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Marketing. From ideation to implementation, you'll shape Apollo's evolution and provide essential feedback to enhance production code. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and Update the Design System: Continue building the design system, including component libraries, style guides, and documentation to ensure design consistency across all platforms.
- Quality Control: Create prototypes and conduct user testing to validate design decisions and gather feedback for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with product designers and UI engineers to understand design needs and implement effective solutions.
- Prioritize Accessibility: Ensure design system components follow best practices in usability and accessibility, fostering an inclusive user experience.
- Documentation: Produce clear, actionable documentation to facilitate easier implementation by designers and developers.
- Training: Conduct internal workshops and training sessions to teach team members components and best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior designers and team members to continue fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Stakeholder Reviews: Regularly update stakeholders of changes in the design system to communicate project impact.
- **Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strengths in UX and visual design.
- **4+ years of UI/UX design experience, focusing on design systems or component libraries.
- **Advanced proficiency in design software, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; solid understanding of design tokens.
- **Experience designing for multiple platforms (Web, iOS, Android, etc).
- **Comfortable using documentation platforms (e.g., Storybook, Zeroheight).
- **Basic knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
- **Strong verbal and written communications kills.
- **Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive.
- **Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a team.
- **Excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The average base salary pay range for this role is between $80,000 -$90,000 USD
May be considered for a discretionary bonus
