Responsibilities
As Design Team Manager at Eurostar, you’ll be the visual identity of the company, responsible for creating and overseeing design and creative thinking for every area of the business. You will also manage the team of designers based in London and Brussels. The company’s brand identity will be in your hands, and your ownership of Eurostar’s look & feel requires a broad knowledge of the business, a sharp eye for accuracy, and a strong creative insight into what’s right for the brand.
You'll be a meticulous and versatile designer with proven collaboration skills and experience managing and mentoring junior designers. A strong understanding of graphic design, typography, and digital standards is as essential as the experience to execute projects of all sizes.
Details of the Position
This is a maternity cover contract for a minimum of 9 months, based at offices in Kings Cross with a hybrid working model. Travel to the Brussels office will be required as and when needed.
Internal only: This role is a Grade E2 at Kings Place with Travel Services Level 3 and travel to Brussels HQ.
Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Lead all creative design in line with Eurostar guidelines
- Be the guardian of Eurostar visual identity
- Manage design teams in London and Brussels
- Collaborate with the Copy and Brand teams
- Develop creative concepts and ideas
Requirements
You will need:
- Proven experience in leading brand and identity projects
- Established portfolio of high-quality work
- Strong management, leadership, and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Experience in pitching creative ideas and training teams on design software
- Understanding of customer insight, marketing, design, and production processes
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle languages in creative design and typography
