The Design Team at SEEK is made up of 60+ professionals including UX and Product design, Visual design, Research, Design Systems, Specialisms and Operations. We are distributed primarily across Australia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. As a member of this large, mature, and growing community, the Product Designer joining the Candidate Engagement domain will have support from a wide range of design professionals, including our Design Ops and Research Ops teams. About The Role

The Candidate Engagement team is responsible for creating and optimizing the emails and push notifications that we send to people to help them find their next job and be more efficient in their job search.

The role of the content/product designer in this team is to work closely with other squad members to ideate on the best ways to achieve our targets by creating great emails that encourage conversion and make it as simple as possible for job seekers to succeed.

Our Product Designers are specialist practitioners that can act with autonomy in their assigned squads and collaborate with others to drive both the products and practice forward. They build innovative solutions for products through their knowledge of interaction design, research and insights, prototypes and UI design.

The successful person for this role will join a diverse group of product domain specialists, distributed across our APAC locations. They will be solving design problems ‘at scale’ as we globalize our platforms, spanning 8 countries across Asia-Pacific.

The role reports into the Design Lead and will collaborate closely with a multi-functional squad of product managers, engineers, analysts, and delivery experts.

  • This role is for a UX practitioner that is able to act with autonomy in their team and collaborate with others to drive both the products and practice forward
  • The designer will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders from Product Managers & Engineers to Marketing & AI, to understand user needs and business goals in detail and solve problems through user-friendly design.
  • You will specialize in creating a great user experience and solving user challenges through developing world-class user interface, email, and interaction designs
  • The designer will play a key role in helping transform product concepts into crafting the next email and push notification strategy that contributes to an experience that helps people accomplish their goals

Responsibilities

  • Create emails that align with our brand voice and are consistent with our style.
  • Advocate for the user and conduct research that delivers actionable insights for the squad
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager, Tech Lead and other designers to shape product solutions
  • Use our Email Design System to create designs for agreed problems and solutions and contribute to the process from ideation to execution
  • Understand outcomes and success metrics, and continuously iterate on solutions where required
  • Facilitate a collaborative and transparent design process within the team
  • Communicate insights, issues, and solutions effectively to the squad and stakeholders
  • Contribute to vision work and other broader pieces in the Domain where required
  • Test and iterate on different content approaches to continually refine our communications strategy
  • Participate in initiatives that contribute to the evolution of the Design Team practice
  • Use and enhance our Design System tooling

Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in content strategy and copywriting
  • Understand how to create content from creation to review and improve using data and feedback
  • Conducting user research activities and reporting on findings
  • Ideation through wireframing and prototyping to explore problem and solution spaces
  • Facilitating workshops with diverse groups of participants
  • Ability to synthesize data from many sources into coherent design solutions
  • Experience in prioritization and trade-off discussions

Desirable

  • Experience with content design UX writing
  • Experience with app design is highly regarded
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation
  • Knowledge of the constraints and limitations of email clients
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience working within a multi-functional squad
  • Journey mapping and interaction design
  • Figma proficiency
