We’re looking for a passionate Junior Designer to join our creative team and help us make reading an unforgettable adventure for children around the world.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a talented Junior Designer with a passion for illustrating children’s books. If you have a creative flair, experience in the Adobe ecosystem, and a love for storytelling through visuals, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Illustration: Contribute to the creation, editing and illustration of children’s books, ensuring that artwork is engaging, imaginative, and suitable for the internal brief.
- Book Cover Design: Design eye-catching covers for our children’s books that capture the essence of the story and appeal to our target audience.
- Print Preparation: Prepare files for printing, ensuring they meet industry standards for resolution, color, and layout.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our creative team to bring stories to life, offering your input on design concepts and visual storytelling.
- Adobe Suite Proficiency: Utilize your strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, to edit and refine illustrations and book layouts at a good speed of execution.
- Communication: Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and speaking, to collaborate with team members and present your ideas clearly.
Minimum Requirements (all below requirements are required):
- Experience: At least one project or portfolio showcasing your experience in illustrating children’s books. (A must requirement - no consideration otherwise)
- Adobe Expertise: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools. (A must requirement - no consideration otherwise)
- Book Design: Experience in designing book covers and preparing children’s books for printing. (A must requirement - no consideration otherwise)
- English Proficiency: Ability to communicate in English at a conversational level, both written and spoken.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, particularly when it comes to preparing files for print and ensuring the highest quality of work.
