About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Graphic Designer / Artworker / Illustrator to join our design team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for producing high-quality print-ready packaging designs for our range of toys, games, gadgets. You will collaborate closely with our team of designers and report to the Head of Design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality design concepts including illustrations while maintaining brand consistency.
- Manage your own workload, ensuring projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Interpret and implement feedback from various stakeholders to refine designs.
- Liaise with clients and external contractors, including printers, to ensure designs are print-ready and meet all the relevant recycling and safety warning standards.
- Maintain strong file management and organisation throughout the design process.
- Use project management and communication tools like GoodDay, Teams and emails to keep track of project progress.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ideally 1-2 years of experience in creating technical packaging artwork.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign other apps would be a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of print and colour management.
- Experience in creating die-line templates and mock-ups.
- Excellent understanding of typography
- Experience working with brand guidelines and design briefs.
- Strong creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a good sense of humour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent understanding of colour theory, typography, and layout design.
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with design critiques and ability to give and receive feedback.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and Internal departments.
