(Open-Ended) Freelance Mid-Level Video Content Creator

GENERA is reinventing the 3D character design workflow, offering cutting-edge tools for instant clothing creation at scale. We are looking for an experienced Video Content Creator to join our team on a part-time, freelance basis. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a proven track record in video production and social community engagement, particularly within the 3D, gaming or design industries.

Hours: Part-time, 2-3 days per week  

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

​

Video Storyboarding and Production:

• Lead the development of video storyboards, centring around GENERA product features, testimonials and short tips and tricks, ensuring they align with brand objectives and content strategies
• Produce, film, and edit high-quality video content tailored for YouTube and YouTube Shorts, to attract 3D modellers, character artists and game studios
• Ensure all video content is optimised for YouTube’s algorithms and adheres to best practices, driving maximum visibility and engagement

Community Engagement:

• Ownership of community management on YouTube, actively responding to comments, fostering engagement (by asking questions, thought provoking comments, etc), and building a positive, educational environment
• Engage with relevant communities on other social platforms, including Reddit, X (Twitter), and Discord, to promote video content and expand GENERA’s presence and encourage new users to sign up to the tool

Content Strategy and Development:

• Collaborate with the CEO to generate innovative video and content ideas that resonate with target audience, informed by product updates and USPs, testimonials, industry trends and audience preferences
• Craft engaging and searchable/relevant video titles, descriptions and music/trending sounds

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Solid experience in video content creation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to storyboard, produce, and edit compelling video content.
• Proficiency in advanced video editing software for desktop and mobile video (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut).
• Strong written English skills, with the ability to create engaging and impactful content that resonates with a technical, non-salesy audience
• Experience in managing and engaging with online communities, particularly on YouTube, Reddit, X (Twitter), and Discord
• A deep understanding of what content appeals to target audience, with the ability to translate this into successful video content
• Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Significant experience in or a strong understanding of the 3D, gaming or design industries
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics, social media metrics, and the ability to use these tools to inform content strategy
