The role: Group Design Manager for Fulfillment
At Catawiki, we know that our customers' journey—from discovery to delivery—shapes their entire experience. As the Design Manager, or as we call it, Group Design Manager (GDM), you'll play a pivotal role in creating an exceptional experience for all the Fulfillment vertical, including Shipping, Fintech, and Customer Experience.

Our GDM role uniquely combines strategy, people management, and hands-on individual contribution. It offers you the opportunity to lead and significantly influence driving customer-centricity across all levels and teams. You'll lead a dynamic, forward-thinking team, setting high standards and nurturing growth. Your leadership will keep the team motivated, productive, and continually improving.
The difference you will make
Vision & Strategy: Shape group-level strategies, align teams, and define experiences that set us apart. Your role will be a key contributor to our product strategy, and you'll work alongside the GPM and the Engineering Director to align priorities and advocate for impactful solutions that drive our business success.
People & Organization: Build and lead a positive, high-performing team. You'll manage 2-4 designers, fostering an inclusive environment, guiding career growth and ensuring everyone’s work contributes to broader strategic objectives.
Impact & Execution: Ensure effective discovery, delivery, and go-to-market strategies. You will coach designers and peers in delivering high-quality work, and making smart decisions about quality/effort tradeoffs. You will understand and track key metrics, accelerating decisions by delivering feedback and ensuring designers are on track.
Who You Are
- Product designer experience in service design, CX, Logistics, Shipping and/or Fintech
- A strong people manager and conceptual thinker with a passion for user-first design
- Experienced in designing high-scale and high-traffic products (for millions of users)
- An excellent communicator and storyteller with a standout portfolio
- A hands-on UX designer, skilled in interaction design, UX research, UX writing, and product trends
- Comfortable in ambiguity, with a sharp eye for detail and a positive approach

Our offices and way of working
We have sensational offices in Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon. Most of our employees are within commutable distance of one of our office locations and enjoy a hybrid work model. This means we expect you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with each other. The exception is of course, if the job description specifically states that the role is 100% remote, as some experts and sales positions are.
