Sr. Designer Role

Reporting to the Director of Design, a Sr. Designer specializing in presentation design plays an integral role on the Marketing Brand & Creative team, partnering with Growth, Sales, Content, and Executive teams to translate complex ideas into effective, dynamic narratives and presentations aligned with brand guidelines. They manage the presentation design process from start to finish, working with stakeholders to craft concise and compelling narratives, expressed through infographics, mockups, testimonials, and more. They manage a suite of presentation tools, including a library of templates, backgrounds, decks, imagery, and themes which are utilized by teams across the company, for both internal and external marketing. Additionally, they propose programs and processes which reduce operational redundancies and drive the Marketing organization’s strategic goals. They act as design leaders, driving a design culture of excellence, including mentoring peers and junior members of the creative team.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has a deep portfolio of experience designing clear and appealing presentations and infographics which effectively communicate ideas and drive business results. They are an excellent communicator, collaborator, and problem solver with a high attention to detail and commitment to design craft. They are steady and speedy problem solvers, adept at addressing technical and layout issues and motivated to develop easy-to-use tools which enable effective communication across the company.

Job Requirements

  • At least six years of visual design experience in an in-house creative studio or agency
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing professional, on-brand, presentation design, and a high standard for typography and visual design
  • Strong conceptual abilities and a talent for storytelling
  • Technical motion design skills would be advantageous
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly convey design intent, advocate for their work, and suggest alternative ideas to peers and senior leadership
  • Committed to maintaining a high standard of creative quality for themselves and others, while always striving to find the best solution to meet company goals
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills, collaborative mindset, and adept at working cross-functionally

Compensation Details

The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

Draper UT pay range: $85,000 — $106,000 USD
