Senior Graphic Designer Position at SPREAD

Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to shape SPREAD’s visual identity and create compelling visual narratives to meet business and brand objectives. This role will lead the creation of visual assets across digital and print channels, communicating the power of our technology and driving engagement with our brand. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams, you are responsible for enhancing SPREAD’s brand identity and delivering graphics that align with our strategic goals. This is a pivotal role for a creative professional who is both strategic and hands-on when it comes to delivering creative projects from end to end – with a sharp eye for detail and a strong understanding of the tech landscape.

Key responsibilities

  • Brand evolution: Lead the evolution and implementation of SPREAD’s visual identity across all touchpoints, communicating our innovative, engineering-focused mission.
  • Brand consistency: Uphold and evolve SPREAD’s brand guidelines, ensuring all visual elements across different channels reflect our brand essence and maintain consistency.
  • Design leadership: Drive all phases of the creative process, from conceptualization to final execution within deadlines, on a variety of projects including digital campaigns, event materials, website pages, blog articles, case studies, customer presentations, sales materials, videos, and social media content.
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration and stakeholder management: Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, Product, Leadership teams, and external stakeholders such as design freelancers, studios and agencies, to deliver assets that meet high standards of creativity and quality.
  • Creative direction: Understand Marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience, to guide and provide art direction for junior designers, freelancers, and external agencies, ensuring quality and coherence in design deliverables.
  • Innovation & trends: Stay updated on design trends and maintain best practices, particularly within AI, engineering, and tech industries, to keep our visuals fresh and relevant.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in technology or B2B software.
  • Design portfolio: Strong portfolio with a diverse range of creative projects, demonstrating expertise in brand design and strong visual design skills across digital and print.
  • Technical skills: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Figma, and relevant AI tools. Experience with motion design, 3D design tools, animation, and video creation (After Effects or similar software) is a plus.
  • Attention to detail: High standards for creative excellence and a meticulous eye for quality, ensuring all deliverables are polished and aligned with SPREAD’s brand standards.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a plus), with experience presenting ideas and gathering feedback from cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Conceptual thinking: Ability to translate abstract ideas and complex concepts into clear, engaging visuals that align with SPREAD’s brand identity and resonate with our target audience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
