The Promotions Team

The Promotions team is responsible for defining the end-to-end consumer experience that help people save across the DoorDash App. This team is responsible for building a solid foundational system that scales to all different types of promos from simple to complex deals. This team works closely with both consumers and merchants to create an experience that brings both sides of the marketplace together.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer on the Promotions team, you will join a small design team that owns the end-to-end experience for new promo types and the foundational user experience. You will use customer-driven data insights and research to define a strategy that truly helps consumers save. You’ll take on new and exciting 0-1 bets while scaling existing products such as Happy Hour, Item deals and more.

You will report to the Head of Consumer Engagement Product Design in our Product Design organization. This role is a hybrid role with some time in-office and some time remote. We are looking for someone located near one of our tech hubs (SF Bay Area, Seattle, or New York).

• You have 5+ years of work experience and a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to maintain a high bar for craft at scale and track record of leading new initiatives and achieving success in a team environment.
• You think of yourself as a craftsperson pushing the envelope on quality, usually find yourself sweating over the lowest level of details and deeply care about elevating the overall experience.
• You excel at storytelling and convey complex topics clearly and thoroughly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• You’re a problem solver, use a first principles approach and aren’t afraid to try new things to create the future.

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location.

Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

​
