Sr. Web & Brand Designer

Job Description

As a Senior Web & Brand Designer at BX Studio, you will play a crucial role in leading the design and development of visually compelling and user-friendly websites for our clients. You will work closely with our clients, project managers, and development team to conceptualize and design custom web solutions that meet our clients' objectives and exceed their expectations.

We are particularly interested in connecting with designers who can help to develop a client's digital brand style during the web design process (such as by selecting new fonts or designing new art direction elements).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with client goals.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their brand identity, target audience, and business objectives in order to create customized website designs that resonate with their audience.
• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
• Create visually appealing graphics, icons, and other assets to enhance the overall aesthetic and user experience of websites.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve the quality and innovation of our web designs.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration of design elements and functionality.
• Consider usability to refine designs for optimal user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and milestones are met effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in web and brand design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful projects.
• Experience developing new digital styles for websites not entirely based upon pre-existing brand guidelines.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles and best practices for web usability and accessibility.
• Some knowledge of HTML and CSS, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to clients and team members.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Some experience with the relationship of content management systems (CMS) such as Webflow to web design
• A passion for creativity, innovation, and staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
