In this role, you will model excellent UX principles and collaborate with a range of disciplines. The UX Designer is an individual contributor who will be responsible for designing usable, accessible, and engaging user experiences for Visa’s Product Innovation team. This role is based in Berlin.

Role responsibilities include

  • Design usable, accessible and engaging digital experiences for the web and mobile
  • Own and make design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design principles
  • Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
  • Collaborate with business partners and design solutions using sound UX principles
  • Be an advocate for our users and reference UX research when available
  • Capture requirements, design flows, wireframes, testable prototypes and fully fleshed out designs
  • Document your designs and consult with engineers to ensure they are built and function as intended
  • Effectively demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two-three days a week, mainly Tuesday through Thursday with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in creating wireframes, polished user interface design and rapid prototyping
  • Strong fluency in digital design software including Figma, FigJam, Sketch and Adobe products
  • Knowledgeable in human centered design thinking, service design, and user research
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors, Design, Psychology, Sociology or related field
  • Experience in creating user experience maps, service blueprints, and presentations that communicate strategy, a plus
  • Payment or online retail industry experience, a plus
