Job role and responsibilities:

We are looking for a video editor who can support us with various video creation and video editing tasks. It includes the creation of new explainer, tutorial and advertising videos showcasing the Tomplay product and the editing and localisation in different languages of existing videos.

Here are some examples:

• 15-60 seconds videos for Meta Ads: Meta Ads Examples that score high in viewership (not skipped at start) strictly following brief and guidelines from the marketing team
• Longer formats for YouTube videos, mostly editing of start, ending, transitions, write over, adding some visual elements, reusing footage and video material (check Tomplay’s YouTube channel: Tomplay YouTube Channel)
• Animations of sequences to explain features or get some messages through in a compelling way
• Ability to animate iPhone, Android smartphone/tablet, laptop screens with animated views of the Tomplay app (fake/recreated or recorded): Animated Views Example
• Editing of tens or hundreds of video extracts from users to form a compiled video with great editing and sense of keeping the viewer's interest: Compiled Video Example
• Create tutorial and explainer videos showcasing features from the Tomplay service, music pieces from the Tomplay catalog and more
• Find images and small sequences in libraries free of copyrights to use in editing
• Editing of live music sheets with music synchronisation: basic understanding of music sheets and notes reading needed!
• Localisation work in up to 12 languages: text adaptations, subtitles, including 3 Asian languages that require detailed work and understanding of the right characters cut.

What we require from you:

1. You have strong video editing experience and work daily with video editing software. You can work quickly and efficiently on the editing of our videos, including sound-image synchronization.
2. You have outstanding communication skills and enjoy working in a team. You can understand and process design briefs quickly and can meet tight deadlines under pressure.
3. You have strong attention to details and are very organised.
4. You understand that everything that you produce/edit/create belongs to Tomplay. You are a team player and share all sources and source files with the Tomplay team.
5. A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace are essential. Usage of Skype and Dropbox for team communication is a requirement.
6. You speak English fluently and can read music notes (basic knowledge is sufficient).

This is a freelancer position, and you will invoice by hours, tasks or projects following clear agreements on time spent based on briefs. You will be asked to include the following when submitting a proposal:

1. Please include a link to your portfolio or anything else that can help us assess if you are a good fit for Tomplay. The more you share, the better we can assess your work.
2. Sharing a small design sample (banner, short video) reusing Tomplay’s brand and look/feel will help us too.
